1. Controller and contact
Graziella Mattei publishes the Dear KinHome website.
You can write to hello@dearkinhome.com with questions about your data.
2. Data processed by the website
Contact: the form submits and stores your first name, last name, email, phone, language, subject, destination if selected and message. The subject distinguishes stay enquiries from owner enquiries. You may also choose up to two preferred contact methods from SMS, phone call, email and WhatsApp. These optional preferences are stored with your enquiry. This form does not collect marketing consent.
Newsletter: the form submits your email, language, form source (home or footer) and consent. The email, language, source, consent timestamp and consent wording are stored; unsubscription is timestamped. A token allows you to unsubscribe.
Form protection: a company_website honeypot, a signed startedAt timestamp and a turnstileToken are submitted to check automated requests. They are not added to the subscription record. Cloudflare may process technical information, including the IP address and browser signals.
Favourites: home identifiers remain stored on your device. To display public home information, these identifiers are used in a request to Supabase. A sharing link contains the selected home identifiers, not your contact details.
Preferences: currency and area unit remain in your browser. Language is also remembered through the technical NEXT_LOCALE cookie, sent with requests to the website.
Enquiries: all enquiry forms require your first name, last name, email and phone number. Stay forms store the home or destination, dates, guests, weekly budget and, where applicable, favourite home identifiers. Owners provide the town and bedroom count; purchase enquiries specify the area, budget, property type, bedrooms and intended timeline. Consent to Dear KinHome news is optional and unchecked by default. The Contact form does not collect it.
Visit source: mpca:utm keeps utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_term, utm_content, gclid and the referrer without query or fragment for the tab session and attaches them to your enquiry. The anti-spam token, signed timestamp and honeypot are not stored in enquiries. An acknowledgement and a team notification are sent when the email service is enabled.
3. Purposes and legal bases
Newsletter subscriptions rely on your consent, collected through an unchecked box. You can withdraw it by unsubscribing.
Preferences and favourites support the functions you choose on your device. Anti-spam protection secures the forms.
The contact form allows us to respond to your enquiry and prepare a possible stay. It does not subscribe you to the newsletter. Other enquiries help prepare a stay, rental or purchase project at your initiative. Visit source helps identify where enquiries originate; optional marketing consent remains separate from your enquiry.
4. Recipients and service providers
Authorised Dear KinHome staff can view subscriptions and contact enquiries and handle your communications. Supabase supplies the database, files and staff authentication; Vercel is intended to host the website; Brevo handles back-office emails, enquiry notifications and acknowledgements, and the Letters from Dear KinHome; the newsletter list receives the email address, language, source and consent date; Cloudflare protects forms; Mapbox provides maps.
YouTube or Vimeo is contacted when you start a video player. Thumbnails may already load from their image networks before playback. Maps use approximate home locations, not visitor geolocation.
Planned primary storage in Paris does not mean that every provider processes data exclusively in Europe.
5. Retention periods
Local favourites and preferences have no website-defined expiry. You can clear them or use your browser settings. For questions about the retention of other data, email hello@dearkinhome.com.
6. Your rights
Subject to the applicable conditions, you can request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability of your data, object to certain processing and withdraw your consent. Contact hello@dearkinhome.com with details of your request.
You can also lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL. Response procedures and identity checks will be appropriate to your request.
7. Cookies and local storage
The Cookies page describes browser storage, third-party features and the control for clearing your favourites and preferences. It must be reviewed when new services are added.
